Sydney woman taken to hospital after phone shock

Warning: Link goes through to news.com.au - you've been warned.

The woman, in her 20s, of Chatswood in Sydney’s north, was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition, a NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said.

It is not known whether the phone was plugged in to a charger at the time…

If correct this will be the third reported case of this happening in a fortnight.

The last sentence leaves a lot unanswered and is speculating the cause based on recent correlating events. It wouldn't surprise me if it was some other cause and is a rather bait-y article, not unusual for this publisher.

Update: The story on news.com.au was inaccurate and has been updated. More details here.
